Mumbai: A day after news of Suzuki Swift getting zero stars in Latin NCAP crash tests surfaced, rival Tata Motors on Monday accelerated to troll the country’s biggest carmaker.
Tata Motors, which is popular for its 4 and 5 star safety-rated cars, took to social media to highlight this. On Tata Tiago page, it posted an image of a slot machine with the letters of the word ‘Swift’ jumbled with the caption saying ‘Don’t gamble on Safety’.
Tata Tiago has scored 4 stars on Global NCAP tests. Tata’s Nexon and Altroz have scored full 5 stars.
Maruti, which has often drawn criticism for low safety, has only one four-stars rated car – Vitara Brezza.
This is not the first time that Tata Motors has taken a dig at its competitors over safety. Earlier, it had mocked Hyundai i10 Nios and Maruti’s WagonR and S-Presso for low safety ratings.
