Tata Motors has bagged a contract to supply 300 electric buses to Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL).
The company will provide the Urban 9/9 electric buses for Ahmedabad’s BRTS corridor. They will be deployed under the OPEX model. Tata will install the required infrastructure for fast charging as well.

The ultra electric buses are indigenously developed to offer superior design and best-in-class features. We will continue to support the government in its commitment towards creating a sustainable future for India,” said Girish Wagh, President, Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors.
Tata is currently the largest supplier of electric buses in India. It’s critical electrical components have been sourced from international suppliers in the US, Germany and China.
