TDCC Manager In Vigilance Net, Rs 19 Lakh Unaccounted Cash Seized in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday detained Jayprakash Mohanty, Sundargarh district manager of Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation (TDCC) and seized around Rs 19 lakh unaccounted cash from his vehicle.

According to sources, acting on a tip-off, the Vigilance officials, led by Sundargarh vigilance DSP Sudhanshu Pujari intercepted Mohanty’s vehicle at Masnikani toll gate, while he was moving from Sundargarh to Jharsuguda.

In the preliminary investigation, Mohanty couldn’t give any satisfactory answer regarding the source of the cash.

Vigilance officials have brought him to the office for interrogation.

Further investigation into the matter is on.
