The accused, identified as Pratap Nayak, worked at a teacher in a government primary school at Nuakhajuripada under the jurisdiction of Adava police station in the district.

Sources said Nayak, who has been serving as a teacher since 2008, was named in two separate warrants issued in connection with incidents of Maoist violence in 2011 and 2013.
