Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have arrested a teacher from the Chandrasekharpur here for allegedly sodomizing a student.
According to sources, a 12-year-old body had gone to the house of Jinesh Lima (24) at a slum near the Panda Park for tuition on Thursday night. Finding the boy alone, the teacher forcibly sodomized him.
The boy later returned to his house and narrated the incident to his family members.
Following a complaint lodged by the family members, police picked up the teacher from his house on Friday for interrogation.
Police later conducted the medical examination of the teacher and the victim and arrested the teacher in the evening.
The accused will be forwarded to the court on Saturday, police said.
