Bhubaneswar: Uncertainty looms large over smooth evaluation of Plus II answer sheets as agitating block grant teachers have threatened to boycott the process over non-fulfillment of their demands, including withdrawal of compulsory affidavit clause to avail grant-in-aid.
Meanwhile, the agitating teachers under the aegis of Odisha School College Teachers and Employees’ Joint Forum, announced to stage a mass convention in Bhubaneswar on March 26 to put pressure on the state government to fulfill their demands.
“Despite several requests and protests, the government has turned a deaf ear to our demands. Instead of solving our issues, the school and mass education minister is making alternate arrangements for conducting evaluation of Plus II answer sheets. So, we have decided to intensify our protest in much bigger way”, Odisha Secondary School Teachers’ Association general secretary Prakash Mohanty informed.
The teachers have been staging dharna in front of 57 evaluation centres across the state to boycott evaluation of High School Certificate examination papers.
The evaluation of Plus II examination answer sheets will be held in two phases beginning from April 4.
While the answer sheets will be evaluated in the first phase from April 4 to 14, the second phase would commence from April 16 and continue till April 26.
