Sonepur: Mystery surrounded the death of a 14-year-old girl at a quarantine centre in Sonepur district on Thursday.
According to sources, the deceased was a native of Sara Samal village in Mayabarha panchayat in Dunguripalli block. She had been staying at the quarantine centre after returning from Tamil Nadu recently.
On Wednesday night, the girl suddenly fell unconscious. A medical team reached the quarantine centre to examine the girl, but pronounced her dead.
The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
On the other hand, the girl’s uncle has lodged a complaint at Rampur police station alleging that she had died of mismanagement at the quarantine centre.
