Balangir: Vigilance sleuths on Monday arrested the senior clerk-cum-record keeper of Muribahal tehsil office, Asit Kumar Joshi, in Balangir district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 28,000.
Acording to sources, Joshi was caught red-handed by the Vigilance officials from Sambalpur Division while accepting bribe from one Thabir Sahu of Limapada villsage under Muribahal police limits for issue of record of rights (ROR) in favour of the complainant.
The entire bribe money has been seized and further investigation into the matter is on.
