Chandbali: The tehsildar of Chandbali, Sushant Sutar, has tested positive for COVID-19, the Bhadrak district administration informed on Monday.
According to reports, Sutar was tested for COVID-19 after he fell ill on Saturday. The report came positive on Sunday.
The tehsildar was engaged in flood-related relief work in the area.
Also on Monday, Chandbali MLA Byomkesh Ray informed via a tweet that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Bhadrak district reported 47 new COVID-19 cases overnight, taking the total tally of cases to 2,633 on Monday.
Of them, six are from Chandbali block.
With eight deaths and 1,904 recoveries, Bhadrak district has 721 active cases at present.
