Telangana Man Sets Brother On Fire; What Was The Provocation?

Secunderabad: In a blood-curdling incident, a man poured petrol on his brother and set him ablaze.

It happened in Telangana’s Secunderabad, allegedly due to a property dispute.

CCTV footage of the incident, which took place early morning on January 20, has now gone viral on social media.

The footage shows the accused setting his sibling in flames in a narrow lane.

Disagreement over access to a pathway near accused Kondikonda Vinod’s residence led to the altercation.

As the confrontation escalated, things took a serious turn with Vinod pouring petrol from a bottle on his brother Kondikonda Srinivas and ignited him with a match stick.

Neighbours and residents in the area were woken up by the commotion and rushed to help Srinivas. They managed to extinguish the fire, but Srinivas suffered severe injuries to his head and body.

He was rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered and an investigation launched against Vinod by Boinpally Police.
