Tele Actor Upasana Makes Her Debut With Odia Film ‘Chumki’

Bhubaneswar: Mahurat of upcoming Ollywood movie ‘Chumki’ was held here on Saturday.

Senior Odia artist Pradyumna Lenka inaugurated the event.

Shreyan and Upasana will play the lead roles in the movie being made under the banner of Bhadra Motion Studio.

This is Shreyan’s second movie, while Upasana will be making a foray into silver screen from tele screen with it. She had gained popularity with TV series ‘Devi’, ‘Chanda Na Tame Tara’, and ‘Manini’.

Choreographer-turned-director Girish Mohanty will don the director’s hat for the first time with this movie produced by young entrepreneurs Upahara Bhadra and Anish Bhadra.

The star cast include Jyoti Mishra, Kausik Mohapatra, Choudhury Bikash Das, Pradyumna Lenka, Pragyan Khatua, Pushpa Panda, Shakti Barala, Jojo and Hadu.

Bharadwaj Panda has penned the script of the movie and music is being composed by Bibhuti Bhushan.

The shoot of the movie will go on the floor from Saturday. It will be shot in Manali, Ladakh, Chhadratal, Koraput, Baripada and Bhubaneswar, the sources said.
