Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday announced plans for the revival of BSNL and MTNL and start of 5G trials in India within 100 days.
He added that 5G spectrum will be auctioned by end of this year.
The minister said the revival of BSNL and MTNL will be done in a professional manner. “Five lakh hotspots are being planned throughout the country and the government will promote telecom equipment manufacturing,” he said.
