Bhubaneswar: With OPDs closed amid COVID-19 scare and subsequent lockdown, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on Monday decided to introduce telemedicine facility and released WhatsApp numbers on which the patients can consult the doctors.
The facility is available for nine departments.
According to an AIIMS press release, doctors will also provide photo/scan/digital copy of a signed prescription or e-prescription to patients via WhatsApp. The institute has advised its doctors to prescribe drugs already used by patients on follow up or those drugs which are safe for use.
