Kalahandi: Patients here have a new way of getting connected with doctors. Vedanta’s alumina refinery in Lanjigarh, has initiated a Telemedicine Service in the region through its hospital. During the COVID-19 lockdown, this facility will help patients connect with doctors over phone for free consultation while not requiring them to be in proximity with each other and maintaining social distance.
Specialists in paediatrics, orthopaedics, general medicine and an AYUSH doctor will attend to the patients on call every day from 9 am to 7 pm. Patients can also call through WhatsApp and get a prescription.
