‘Tell-All’ Videos: Varsha Priyadarshi Moves HC As Anubhav Mohanty Shares ‘Good Morning’ Note [Watch]

Bhubaneswar: The Anubhav Mohanty-Varsha Priyadarshini martial discord saga reached the Orissa High Court on Friday with the latter filing a petition, stating that the videos being shared by the actor-turned-politician on social media platforms are defamatory and maligning her image.

She alleged that false and fabricated information about her life is being circulated, and these “unpalatable statements, which are defamatory in nature and aim at character assassination”, have robbed her of the right to live with dignity.

She also objected to the statements being made on social media, considering that the matter is sub-judice.

Varsha has prayed the court to stop fake and hate campaigns against her on social media; Anubhav Mohanty, Odisha government and I&B Ministry have been made parties in the petition.

This came even as Anubhav uploaded the fourth video, a shorter one, on his Youtube channel, requesting everyone to love their parents and sharing about the new house he and his family are currently staying on rent since Varsha is occupying his parental house at Nandi Sahi in Cuttack. He also expressed gratitude to his fans for standing by him and his family. The Kendrapada MP clarified that he had spoken the truth and would never do anything that let his parents and fans down.

The actress had earlier lodged a complaint at Purighant police station against Anubhav and his family in this regard.

Anubhav released one video on May 19 and the other two on May 21 and May 24 respectively. In the first video titled ‘untold story’, he promised to spill the beans about the discord with his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini, but only if fans gave him the permission to do so while in the second, he elaborated on the reason which forced him to file for divorce from his wife.

In the 40-minute-long video titled ‘Untold Truth Part 3’, Anubhav challenged Varsha to undergo forensic, lie detector and medical tests. He also said that he would knock on the doors of the Supreme Court, if necessary.

Notably, Anubhav filed for divorce in the Patiala House Court in New Delhi in July 2020. This was revealed after Varsha filed a case of domestic violence at the Cuttack Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate (SJDM) court on August 7, 2020, accusing the actor of torturing her physically and mentally.

The SDJM has concluded the hearing on the domestic violence case and reserved its verdict. In his plea, Anubhav had suggested Varsha to leave his parental house and assured her that he would provide her with better accommodation.
