Bhubaneswar: Amid the prevailing dry weather condition, Odisha is likely to witness a gradual drop in the minimum temperature over the next three-four days, the India Meteorological Department said on Wednesday.
According to the mid-day bulletin, there will be no large change in minimum temperature at most places during the next 3 days. The mercury, however, will fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the subsequent 2 days.
Notably, Similiguda was the coldest at 12.8 degree Celsius last night followed by G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district at 13.4 degree Celsius, Koraput and Boudh at 14 degree Celcius each and Daringbadi at 14.5 degree Celsius.
Phulbani witnessed dense fog this morning reducing visibility to 100 metres, which affected vehicular movement. Similarly, Balangir experienced moderate fog while shallow fog was seen in Angul, Bhawanipatna and Paralakhemundi.
A low-pressure area, which is likely to form over southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast in the next 24 hours, would have no influence over the state, the weatherman added.
