Temperature To Rise In Odisha In 24 Hours, Cold Wave To Return From Jan 15

Bhubaneswar: The ongoing cold wave condition in Odisha will recede in next 24 hours with a rise in the night temperature, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.

The national weather agency, in its morning bulletin, said with the formation of a high-pressure zone, the wind direction from the north will be obstructed by the wind from the sea towards Odisha from January 3 resulting in the rise of the night temperature by 2-3 degree Celsius.

According to the Director of the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC) of SOA University and former director of the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar Sarat Chandra Sahu, the cold wave conditions will come down in the state with a gradual rise in the night temperature from January 5.
