Temple Cook Hacked To Death Over Old Rivalry

Jharsuguda: Panic gripped Laikera area in Jharsuguda district on Tuesday after a cook of Bagadihi Mahakal temple was hacked to death by a miscreant.

The deceased has been identified as Natha Sahoo.
According to local people, Sahoo was brutally hacked to death by one Mishra Kisan miscreants over suspected old rivalry.
On receiving information regarding the murder, police rushed to the spot and seized the body.
A manhunt to nab the absconding accused has started. Investigation into the matter is ongoing, a police officer informed.
In another incident, the half-burnt body of an unidentified woman was recovered from bamboo bushes at Sohada Behera Sahi under Dhambagar police limits in Bhadrak district.
Police suspect that the woman has been murdered and dumped in the area over past enmity.
