Rayagada: In a tragic incident, 10 school students were injured after a staircase of Tikiri Government High School at Tikiri village under Kalyansingpur block in Rayagada district on Friday.
According to sources, the incident took place when the children were watching the Bahuda Yatra, standing on the staircase. As the portion of the staircase collapsed, 10 of the students fell on the ground.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital. Two of the victims were shifted to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput in a critical condition, the sources added.
