Rourkela: Two persons were injured in a fierce group clash, which saw gunshots being fired, at Malgodown under Udit Nagar limits in Odisha’s Rourkela on Thursday.
Five platoons of police force have been deployed in the area to prevent any fresh trouble. Rourkela SP K Siva Subramani also held a discussion with the locals.
Seven persons, including the one who fired the gunshot, has been detained.
According to sources, the rival groups attacked each other with swords and sharp-edged weapons. The injured have been admitted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela.
