Bhadrak: Locals blocked Basudevpur-Dhamra Road near Chandimal Chhak in Bhadrak district on Monday following the death of a man due to the consumption of spurious liquor the previous day.
The deceased has been identified as Narayan Nayak (40). He was a resident of Sanakrushnapur village under Kasia Marine police limits.
Notably, Narayan become critical after consuming liquor on Sunday, following which, he was rushed to Bhadrak hospital by his family members.
However, he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Demanding compensation and closure of liquor shops in the area, irate locals staged the blockade.
