Mumbai: A day after Raj Thackeray’s convoy was attacked with tomatoes and betel nuts, workers of his party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) hurled coconuts and cow dung at Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray’s convoy, reported ANI.
MNS activists had no qualms in taking responsibility for the attack on the convoy of Maharashtra’s former chief minister and admitting that it was in response to Friday’s incident involving Raj when he was on a tour of central Maharashtra regions.
Police have detained more than 20 people in connection with the attack on Uddhav’s convoy on Saturday.
The Eknath Shinde-led state government has enhanced security of both Uddhav and Rak.
The estranged Thackeray cousins don’t see eye to eye since Raj quit Shiv Sena – when Balasaheb Thackeray was alive – and formed MNS.
