Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth’s venture ‘Kaala’ was released on Thursday amid much frenzy. Fans queued up as early as 4am to watch the first day, first show. This is Rajinikanth’s first movie after taking the plunge into politics.
Dressed in black outfit to commemorate the movie ‘Kaala,’ fans burst fire crackers and offered milk to the poster of the actor before thronging the theatres.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, the movie stars Rajinikanth as the ‘King of Dharavi’ slums in Mumbai, who fights for the rights of the slum-dwellers. Actress Huma Qureshi plays the female lead, while Nana Patekar plays the antagonist in the movie.
