Bhubaneswar: Amid the COVID-19 upsurge and oxygen supply shortage, cooperation between states have intensified with each extended a helping hand to tide over these trying times.
After Arvind Kejriwal, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also spoke to his Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik and thanked him for helping in procurement and transportation of its quota of oxygen from the state.
A tanker with medical oxygen left for Pune in Maharashtra, one of the states worst hit by the second wave of COVID-19, from an industrial unit in Jajpur this morning.

Maharashtra has been grappling with oxygen and hospital bed shortages with COVID-19 cases spreading to remote corners.
The Odisha police have created ‘green corridors’ for prompt and unhindered transportation of the tankers from the state to hospitals in urgent need of the supply.
On Thursday, Kejriwal had appreciated Odisha CM’s gesture for facilitating the supply of oxygen to Delhi amid the crisis.

Naveen also spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and extended all cooperation at the national level, including ramping up oxygen production to assisting other states in this emergency.
