Mumbai:The trailer of The Tashkent Files, a movie on then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s mysterious death, was released on Monday.
In it, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri attempts to uncover the truth behind the former Prime Minister’s death. The trailer asks why Shastri died just hours after the Tashkent agreement was signed. The movie stars Naseeruddin Shah, Pallavi Joshi, Pankaj Tripathi, Mithun Chakraborty and Mandira Bedi.
The movie releases on April 12, just around the time when movies on political figures like Narendra Modi will be released.
