The Undertaker Bids Adieu to WWE

Mark William Calaway, popularly known as The Undertaker, announced his retirement from the world of wrestling in the final chapter of The Last Ride. WWE took to Twitter to confirm Undertaker’s retirement from the sports.

Undertaker has enjoyed immense fan-following and garnered huge achievements during his time in WWE. He made his debut in November 1990 and became a popular figure within no time. His strong yet frightening personality was incomparable. He was a fierce wrestler during his time.

Undertaker was seven times world champion, tag time champions six times, one time Royal Rumble Winner in 2007, and the winner of Slammy awards 12 times. He is also famous for his unbeatable 21 back to back Wrestlemania wins which were broken by Brock Lesner at Wrestlemania 30. His last match was against AJ Styles this year in A Boneyard match.

However, Undertaker admits to returning to the game if Vince requires him to at some time in the future, but right now he has no desire to get back in the ring. “I believe I’m at a place now, post-Boneyard, which was a hellacious battle against one of the best in the business. Here you are, climbing on your motorcycle and taking off. There was a lot of thought and a lot of emotion, one of those being ‘are you happy enough with that?’ It was a powerful moment,” he said in The Last Ride.

Mark was also popularly known as the Deadman as he returned from the dead. His gimmicks were a hit amongst his fans. He was also famous for his rivalry against brother and fellow wrestler Kane, and The HRK.
