Bhubaneswar: A theft has been reported at senior IAS officer Manish Agarwal’s house at Unit-9 near Rupali Chhak in Odisha capital.
Household articles, a laptop, an expensive camera and a hard disk drive were stolen from his official quarters, police sources.
The IAS office, in his complaint with Saheed Nagar police, stated that the theft might have taken place between October 1 and 16 when he and his family members were away from their home on some days.
Some miscreants had vandalised his house on October 1 night. A person had visited his quarters for door repair work on October 2 and another for a childcare job on October 7, the sources added.
Agarwal is currently posted in the state planning and convergence department.
In 2019, four persons, including a juvenile, were arrested for an alleged break-in and theft at IAS officer Raghu G’s house. The burglars had entered his house by breaking the entrance grill and decamped with two laptops, a wristwatch and one silver coin.
