Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has declared several key localities in Bhubaneswar as no drone/no flying zone in view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to attend the DGP & IG conference from November 29 to December 1.
“BPI airport area, Raj Bhawan area, the event venue Lok Seva Bhawan, IPS Mess at Maitrivihar and the route from BPI airport to Raj Bhawan, Raj Bhawan to Loka Seva Bhawan, Airport to IPS Mess, Maitrivihar, & IPS Mess to Loka Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar have been declared as no drone/no flying zone during the visit of Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and VVIP/dignitaries to Bhubaneswar for DGP & IGP Conference-2024 from 29.11.2024 to 01.12.2024,” the official notification said.
National Security Advisor Ajit Kumar Doval and senior officers of IB, CRPF, RAW, SPG and NSG will also attend the three-day conference, which is being held for the first time in Bhubaneswar at the Convention Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan.
The DGP conference is likely to discuss important issues such as internal security, cybercrime and Maoist menace, challenges posed by AI tools, latest threats of drones and counter-terrorism among other matters, official sources said.
