Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall or thunderstorm at several places in Odisha in the next 48 hours.
In its afternoon bulletin, the IMD forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sundargarh, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Boudh and Nuapada during the next 24 hours.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh. This is likely to occur till 8.30 am of April 8.
Between 8.30 am of April 8 and April 9: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Balasore, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Nabarangpur during the same period.
The Met office has stated that there will be no large change in day temperature. However, it will be more than 40 degree Celsius at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha during next 5 days.
