Bhubaneswar: Like most celebrities in the country, the Odia film industry has come forward to help COVID-stricken patients during both the waves of the pandemic. Whether it is taking care of their medical expenses, arranging for food and shelter, getting oxygen cylinders, or transporting them from home to the hospital – they have done whatever was within their means.
Here is a list of some Ollywood celebrities who are lending a helping hand.

Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra has won the hearts of the people of Odisha since the first wave of the pandemic. The reel hero turned into a real-life hero by helping people in various ways.
He helped many Odia migrant workers to return from different parts of the country and even started an online initiative to help people who need oxygen cylinders, medicines, and other medical assistance.
In a video release, Sabyasachi stated that he is trying his best with the resources available to address the maximum number of people.
In association with Sparsh Hospital, and the Odisha Society of Americas (OSA), Sabyasachi’s team ‘Smile Please’ has opened a free oxygen shelter ‘Amruta Dhara’ in Bhubaneswar. ‘Smile Please’ volunteers have also been providing free meals to COVID-19 patients who are in home quarantine in Bhubaneswar and other cities.
Sabyasachi keeps getting requests for help on his social media accounts and ensures that he reaches out to those in need.
Extending 24X7 assistance to people in distress across the country, Sabyasachi has earned the tag “Odisha’s Sonu Sood”.
