These Six NH Stretches In Odisha To Be Monetised Over Four Years

Bhubaneswar: Six national highway (NH) stretches in Odisha are among the 26,700 km to be monetised by the government. These assets could bring in investments worth Rs 1.6 lakh crore during 2022-25.

The stretches are:

>> 58-km Puintola–Sunakhala NH

>> 76-km Sunakhala–Bhubaneshwar NH

>> 59-km Bhubaneshwar–Puri NH

>> 75-km Chandikhol-Bhadrak NH

>> 63-km Bhadrak-Balasore NH

>> 77-km Chandikhol-Paradip NH

According to National Monetisation Pipeline Document, the total length of highway assets considered for monetisation (26,700 km) constitutes around 22 per cent of the total NH, estimated to be about 1,21,155 km excluding the network operated by the private sector under BOT (Toll) based PPP concessions.

“Already/to-be operational, four-lane highways and above in the country will be monetised. The highways which will become operational over the NMP period have also been considered as part of the monetisable asset base,” it added.
