Bhubaneswar: Miscreants allegedly broke the window glass of a car and stole valuables in Kharvela Nagar area of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night.
According to sources, a couple went out for dinner at around 9.15 pm after attending Ganesh Puja festivities. They parked their car along the stretch, a few metres away from the restaurant. Upon returning, they found the window glass behind the driver’s seat broken. A purse, a bag containing documents and some electronic gadgets kept in the vehicle were also missing.
“The purse had a pair of gold earrings and a ring. We informed the PCR first and then registered a case at the local police station,” said the complainant, adding that they had parked the car at a designated parking lot.
Police are examining the CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
