New Delhi: In a rather ingenious move, 751 women were given gold nose pins while 580 men were given hand blenders for taking the coronavirus jabs in Gujarat’s Rajkot.
The move was the brainchild of Rajkot’s jewellers community. The community organised a free COVID-19 vaccination camp at the Kishor Singhji Primary School in the city’s Sonibazar where 751 women were given gold nose pins and 580 men hand blenders after they took the vaccine shots, News18 reported.
Gujarat reported 3,160 new Covid-19 cases, 2028 recoveries and 15 deaths on Monday. 283 cases were reported in Rajkot. And, 3,00,280 vaccination doses were administered on Monday. So far, 6,76,2638 people have been given first dose while 8,10,126 people have been given both the doses in the state, the report added.
