Khurda: A priest in Banapur is making news for giving blessings by placing his feet on the heads and back of the devotees in Banapur area, Khurda district. Unfortunately for him, this was captured and the video has gone viral on social media.

According to sources, people were worshiping their vehicles at the Paltan field at Banapur on Vijaydashmi. Priest Ramachandra Samantray performed the rituals and worshiped the vehicles. After performing the Puja, he gave blessings by placing his feet on the heads and back of the drivers and owners of the vehicle.

Although some people are giving him flak, others claim that there is nothing offending in it and that it is an old tradition of the people of Banapur.
