Cuttack: Excise sleuths on Sunday arrested three persons at Patara Sahi near Cuttack railway station and seized 160 gram of brown sugar from their possession.
Among those arrested, two hails from Khurda district while another is a resident of Balasore district. The market value of seized contraband has been estimated at Rs 16 lakh.
They were nabbed following a raid basing on a tip-off about the trio planning to sell brown sugar.
On August 3, the twin cities Commissionerate Police had seized brown sugar weighing 55 gram worth Rs 6 lakh and arrested two drug peddlers from the railway station area here.
