3 Arrested For Smuggling Ganja In Odisha’s Cuttack



Cuttack: Three persons, including a woman, were arrested for their alleged involvement in smuggling of ganja in Odisha’s Cuttack district.

The accused have been identified as Mohammad Tayyab and Siddiqui Ahmed Khan from Cuttack’s Tigiria l

ocality and Tapaswini Digal, a woman from Kandhamal district. The three were arrested from Cuttack’s Nuapatna village and forwarded to court on Saturday.

According to police sources, the three were caught red-handed from a house near Nuapatna post office with ganja packets. Before being caught by the cops, the trio resisted the police team and damaged their vehicles. While both sides were engaged in a physical tussle, a few members of the racket managed to flee.

Speaking about the incident, Cuttack Rural SP Prateek Singh said to a section of media that the remaining members of the racket would be caught soon and produced before the court.
