Bhadrak: A day after 126 baby cobras were rescued from a house in Bhadrak district, snake helpline officials on Sunday rescued three more huge cobras from the same house.
According to available information, the cobras, one male and two females were rescued from the house of Bijay Bhuyan at Paika Sahi in Shyamsundarpur village under Dhamnagar police station limits in the district.
On Saturday, a search operation for the cobras was launched after receiving a call from Bhuyan who spotted the snakes in his house. However, the operation was halted due to rain last evening.
Soon after the operation resumed this morning, three more cobras were rescued from the termite mounds of the house.
Following the incident, locals gathered in front of the house in large numbers to see the snakes.
