Rourkela: Police arrested three dacoits with links with Peoples’ Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter group of CPI-Maoist, from Raghunathpalli, on the outskirts of Rourkela late on Sunday.
Briefing the mediapersons, Rourkela SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo said a raid was conducted in Raghunathpalli area on a tip-off and arrested three dacoits while plotting a major dacoity.
Police seized three revolvers, 35 live bullets of 11,43 mm size and 28 live bullets of 9.5 mm in size from their possession.
Of the three arrested dacoits, two are from Rourkela and one from Puri, the SP said, adding that the interrogation of the three dacoits is on to ascertain the involvement of other members of the gang and their link with the PLFI.
