Bhubaneswar: The three-day Rajarani Music Festival took off on a melodious note on the 11th century temple’s premises on Monday.
The annual event feature artistes from across the country. The opening performance on the inaugural evening was by Carnatic singer Bidusi Sudha Raghuram and her team.
Sudha regaled the audience with her mellifluous voice. She recited Sidhivinayak Vandana followed by two songs set to Rag Hansadhwani and Tala Aditala and Ragshree set to Aditala and concluded with Siva Panchakshara.
It was followed by the performance of Tabla Maestro Bickram Ghosh’s Rhythm scape (Indian Fusion Band) in the instrumental category.
The inaugural event was attended by Minister for Culture Tourism, Odia Language and Literature Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi; Chief Advisor to Chief Minister, R Balakrishnan; Principal Secretary, Tourism, Vishal Kumar Dev; Chairperson, OTDC, Shreemayee Mishra and Tourism Director Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav.
