Nabarangpur: The Nabarangpur district administration has imposed a three-day shutdown in Umarkote block after people were found flouting social distancing norms and not wearing masks.
The shutdown was imposed from Friday midnight and remain in force till Sunday midnight (June 29), Nabarangpur Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra said on Saturday.
Mishra said the administration has already informed the people about the shutdown and strict action will be taken against those breaking the curfew.
“Medical emergency and milk shall be allowed,” the collector added, while requesting everyone to co-operate and not venture outside during the shutdown.
Nabarangpur district saw a single positive case on Friday. With one death and eight recoveries, the district has now seven active cases.
