Sonepur: The Sonepur district administration on Friday declared a three-day shutdown in Binka block to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Binka block has so far reported over 107 positive cases, including 10 in the last 24 hours. according to the Health Department website.
Following the spike in COVID-19 cases, the administration decided to impose the clampdown in the block.
During the shutdown, all shops, business establishments, government, and private institutions will remain closed and the movement/assembly of people will be prohibited.
Overall, Sonepur district has reported 1,489 positive cases so far. While 726 patients have recovered, the virus has claimed three lives in the district.
