Puri: The bodies of three friends who drowned in the Kushabhadra river at Nimapada in Puri district on Tuesday, were fished out on Tuesday night.
The dead include Nimapada Autonomous College Plus III science student Jyotiranjan Sahoo and his friends Tejeswar Mohanty and Kamal Lochan Jena.
The three gone to Dhirapur ghat to bathe when they slipped and drowned. On being informed by residents, fire brigrade officials reached the spot and began rescue operations. They later found the bodies.
