Balasore/Baripada: At least three persons were killed while four others suffered injuries in two separate road accidents in Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts on Saturday.
The first incident was reported from Balasore where an auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a car near Rupsa on NH-60, leaving two persons dead and four injured.
According to sources, the deceased and injured were travelling in the auto-rickshaw.
Those injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Two among them were later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after their condition worsened.
In another incident, a woman hailing from Jharkhand died after falling off a moving bus near Maranda village under Bahalda tehsil in Mayurbhanj district.
The woman reportedly fell down while getting down the vehicle.
