In the first incident, two persons died and three were seriously injured when their SUV collided with a stationary truck at Nayan Vihar Chhak near Duhuria in Kendrapara district in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to reports, the families of Debasish Panda and Bijay Sahu of Kajala village had gone to Puri on New Year’s Day for the darshan of Lord Jagannath. The two families were on way back to their village when the SUV driver lost control and rammed into the truck standing on the roadside.
