Gunupur/Anandpur: At least three persons were killed and three others sustained injuries in separate incidents of lightning in Odisha on Tuesday.
Two women died after lightning struck while they were returning from an agricultural field at Katiguda village under Gudari block of Rayagada district.
Similarly, a person was killed while three others sustained critical burn injuries after being hit by lightning at Jarabeda village under Pandapada police limits in Keonjhar district.
The incident took place when the victims were returning home after taking bath in a pond near the village.
Those injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
