Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, three labourers were killed after the false plaster of an under-construction tank collapsed in Pandara area under Mancheswar police limits in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The deceased persons have been identified as Samiran Munia, Basudev Mandal, Biguram Mandal. They belong to Medinapur in West Bengal.
According to sources, the mishap took place when the workers were inside a septic tank. A portion of the false plaster caved in, following which, the trio died of asphyxiation, informed Chief Fire Officer Sukanta Sethi.
On being informed, the police and fire department personnel reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
The police have sent the bodies for postmortem.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
