Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided replace three passenger trains with MEMU ones.
These MEMU trains will be run by replacing conventional coaches of Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar-Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar and Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Passenger Trains from the fourth week of April.
On introduction of new MEMU trains, the services of these passenger trains will be discontinued. These will run with new numbers.
68408/68407 Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar MEMU from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. April 20 and from Bhadrak w.e.f. April 21
68411/68412 Bhubaneswar-Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar MEMU from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. April 21 from both the directions
68419/68420 Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar MEMU from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. April 21 and from Palasa w.e.f. April 22
On the days of maintenance of the MEMU coaches, the earlier conventional coach will provide journey facilities to the daily commuters. The timings and stoppage of the above MEMU trains will be as per that of the earlier conventional coaches, the ECoR sources added.
