Deogarh/Bhawanipatna: Three minor girls met watery grave in separate incidents in Deogarh and Kalahandi districts on Friday.
In Deogarh, two girls of Singhasal village in Barkote drowned while taking bath in a pond. They have been identified as Sita and Anjana Oram, daughter of Siba Oram. Their bodies were later fished out from the water body after a search operation by police and locals.
A similar incident was also reported from Jalatamunda under Kokasara block of Kalahandi district after a seven-year-old girl drowned in Indravati left canal.
According to available information, the incident took place while the child was taking bath in the canal. She slipped into the deep waters and drowned to death.
