The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 8,223 on Tuesday with three more deaths being confirmed in the last 24 hours.
According to Health Department sources, two deaths have been reported from Ganjam districts and one from Bhubaneswar.
Here are the details of the deceased after an audit:
1.A 56 years old female of Bhubaneswar.
2.A 72 years old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy With Left Ventricular Outflow tract Obstruction, Coronary Artery Disease.
3.A 45 years old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Alcoholic Liver Disease.

Notably, Odisha has reported 6,339 COVID deaths during the second wave against 1,876 the previous year.
There were 346 COVID deaths in the state in September. Similarly, 2,056 fatalities were registered in August, while July saw 1,903 deaths, June 1,272 and May 737, said sources in Health Department.
The second wave of the pandemic has claimed the lives of 40 children and adolescents in Odisha. As many as 13 of these deaths were reported between August 10 and 31.
