Three More Persons In Bhubaneswar Test Positive For Coronavirus

Bhubaneswar: Three more persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, taking the number of such cases in Odisha to nine.

The three new cases have been reported from Bomikhal in Bhubaneswar, Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted.

With these, the number of positive cases in the Odisha capital rose to seven. The first three cases and the fifth COVID-19 patient are from the city.


Earlier in the day, a person from Cuttack had tested positive for the infection. He was among the 27 people who had returned to Odisha after attending the Tablighi Jamaat Markaz event in south Delhi’s Nizammudin area earlier last month.

The fourth COVID-19 patient is from Bhadrak district.

At present, there are seven active COVID-19 cases in Odisha with the first two patients having fully recovered and discharged from hospitals where they were undergoing treatment.
